I was blessed last night at Street Church; I still can’t get my mind off of what happened. I was very nervous last night, because Stephanie wanted me to speak; so I prayed to God to summon the courage and strength I needed to get started and I knew he would do the rest. That’s exactly what happened; Stephanie read a passage from her devotional and then let everyone know that she wasn’t feeling well, that was my queue to take over. I started ministering from the experiences I’ve had over the past 5 months and how it’s turned my life around, I talked about how this Easter is my first in a true relationship with Jesus Christ, also I talked about the friends who helped lead me back and supported me while rooting myself in faith. I couldn’t believe how clear and concise my speech was, I was so happy and I just knew the Lord was speaking through me. But that’s not all that happened!!! So get this, later in the evening 2 men showed up, and wanted to know if there was any food left. One of the men had ingested too much alcohol, and was very angry and belligerent. I felt I needed to do something, so I asked if I could get him some food, he said yes angrily, I told him I needed to give someone a ride and I would be right back. His answer was “Yeah Right!, sure you will” so I told him just give me 15 minutes, what do you have to loose, and with that I was on my way. I dropped off Turie and Dave at the bus stop and B-Lined for McDonalds. I got some hamburgers and fries and water. I arrived back at the train station in record time and distributed the food, then the young man who was angry looked at me with a surprised look, I gave him his food and blessed him, he asked me “why would you just go out and buy a stranger like , the scum of the earth, the leftover egg white on a dirty frying pan, why would you buy me anything?” The Lord placed my hand on his shoulder and said “because you are my brother, and I look at you through the eyes of the Lord, you needed help and I’m willing to give it no questions asked. His head dropped and he began to cry, he then stood up after a moment and hugged me saying “Thank you”. I think that was a perfect end to a perfect night. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.Praise be to God, thank you for all that blessings you have given. Thank you for helping me to help others, and giving me strength and courage to spread the good word.

In Jesus’ name I pray

AMEN!

God bless us all, I will see you soon

Wow – Praise God! What a testimony of God’s power at work in your life and your faithfulness. I am struck by his question to you and the way he seemed to categorize himself as scum. I believe your response was God honoring, loving and convicting. I am so blessed that God spoke to you, you had the boldness to obey and for the conviction I feel in my heart because of these actions. Thanks for sharing this experience Andrew!
